The stepchildren of Kim Howe, the woman killed in February car crash involving Bruce Jenner, are gearing up to file a lawsuit, according to reports.
Do they have a case against the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star?
Kim Howe was driving her Lexus on Pacific Coast Highway February 7 when Bruce Jenner crashed into her car, sending her careening into oncoming traffic.
A Hummer crashed into her vehicle and she tragically passed away.
Jenner will not face a criminal investigation for his role in the crash, even if he was at fault. He didn't break any laws, regardless of his driving performance.
He wasn't texting and driving, wasn't under the influence and wasn't smoking weed (all of which were rumored). Just DHUA (driving with head up ass).
The police can't make a criminal case out of that, and closed it.
Lawsuits are a different story, however, and Kim Howe, while she has no direct living relatives, leaves behind stepchildren who are looking to file one.
Her husband died in 2003, and while she has two grown stepchildren (her husband's kids), TMZ claims she had "virtually no relationship" with either one.
In California, stepchildren do have the legal standing to file suit, even if they were estranged from the parent, and both have sought legal representation.
What they can't seek out is Kim's estate. She left behind modest will along with a trust with millions in assets ... all earmarked for various charities.
